GOUNOUJ
Gounouj draws its inspiration from the site of Gros Morne/Grande-Anse in Deshaies, Guadeloupe, where a first version, “Gounouj in situ”, for a trio of dancers, was created, as part of the “New Worlds” program initiated by the Ministry of Culture.
SEE MOREENTROPIE
Created in 2019 by choreographer Léo Lérus, Entropie is a choreographic pursuit that began in 2008. But it is only in the last four years that the approach has really taken off, in Guadeloupe.
SEE MOREGounouj
Gounouj draws its inspiration from the Gros Morne site in Grande-Anse Deshaies, Guadeloupe. This is where an earlier version, “Gounouj in situ,” was created.
Gounouj In Situ
Gounouj in Situ draws its inspiration from the site of Gros Morne in Grande Anse, a preserved natural space, in perfect balance, which resonates at dusk with the “symphony” of gounoujs, frogs in Creole.

Pure dance dazzlement. Embodied by four masterful performers, whose solidarity on stage invades the audience in waves of shivers, Léo Lérus's latest piece continues the curves of a unique signature.
Le Carreau du Temple
Cultural and sporting venue dedicated to lifestyles and new urban uses
What better word than the dazzling excitement of discovering this choreography by Guadeloupean Léo LERUS, which draws on the roots of Gwoka, born during the time of slavery? What is said, performed, and recounted in this small stage square testifies to the power of a shared artistic voice that we have so greatly missed.
