The piece “@” deals in parallel with two worlds which do not touch but which cause a domination of our state of consciousness in an increasingly globalized culture.
This parallel between colonialism on the one hand and the exploitation of the digital world on the other, is presented in the play by a dialogue between two characters, "@" and "Bwa Boulé", which ultimately leads to revealing both the limits and the futilities specific to the current system.
In the play, @ is a character imagined as a metaphor for the victims of colonialism.
Indeed, originally, the @ was used as a measurement symbol in certain cultures. Today, each of us recognizes it exclusively as a symbol of electronic mail and more generally as a symbol of modern communication. WE redefined it. WE have given it another life, another identity, WE exploit it or overexploit it for our own purposes.
Faced with vital adaptation, how does @ live and react?
